Privacy Policy
Effective 20 August 2026
1. Overview
Executive Chauffeurs ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you request a quote or make a booking, how we use and store it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
2. Information we collect
- Contact details: your name, email address, and phone number.
- Trip details: pickup and drop-off locations, date and time, passenger count, vehicle category, flight number and terminal for airport transfers, luggage counts, and any special requests you provide in the notes field.
- Details of anyone you book on behalf of, if you use that option — their name and phone number.
- Payment information: we do not store your full card details ourselves. Card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe.
- Approximate route information (distance and travel time) generated by Google Maps based on the addresses you enter, used to calculate your fare estimate.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to quote and calculate fares, create and manage your booking, dispatch a chauffeur, process payment once your journey is complete, contact you about your trip, and respond to enquiries or complaints. We may also use it to meet our legal obligations, including reporting required under NSW point to point transport regulation. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have separately agreed to that.
4. Who we share it with
- The chauffeur assigned to your booking, so they can find you and complete the trip.
- Stripe, our payment processor, to securely handle and store your payment card and process charges.
- Supabase, our database provider, to store and manage booking records.
- Google Maps, to look up addresses you enter and calculate route distance and travel time. Address text you type is sent to Google for this purpose.
- Regulators or law enforcement where we are required to disclose information by law.
5. Cookies and local storage
We store a single light/dark theme preference in your browser's local storage so the site remembers your display preference on return visits. This is not used to track you and is not shared with any third party. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies.
6. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. Payment details are handled directly by Stripe and are never stored on our own servers.
7. Data retention
We retain booking records for as long as necessary to provide our service, meet our accounting and regulatory obligations, and resolve any disputes, after which we delete or de-identify the information.
8. Your rights
You may ask us for access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. If you have a concern about how we've handled your personal information, contact us first using the details below; if you're not satisfied with our response, you may raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
9. Children's privacy
Our booking service is intended for use by adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our service or our legal obligations. The version in effect at the time you use our service applies.
